The hydraulics consist of a Tilton clutch and brake assembly, including pedals, with a three master cylinder design which provides for the proportioning of the braking power between the front and rear brakes. The slave cylinder, mechanical linkage, and throw-out bearing were replaced by the McCloud hydraulic throw-out bearing; a beautiful setup; it makes sure that the driver does not lose any interior foot room.
The original master cylinder brackets were cut out as well as the top of the firewall shelf. A 1/8 inch thick aluminum shelf was fabricated to replace the old shelf and to mount the master cylinder / pedal assembly. The master cylinders extend back through the firewall; to enclose them an aluminum box was constructed to make sure that no environmental elements of under the bonnet came into the passenger compartment. The box is removable for repairs to the master cylinders. This has been a great success.
