A Beck's Racing Engine, BRE, 383 cid (bored and stroked Chevy 350 cid) has replaced the RHS Performance Engineering 350 cid Chevrolet small block. BRE dyno tests show their 383 to develop 432 hp and 471 foot-lb.s torque. I had BRE install Airflow Research aluminum heads; Airflow Research claims their heads add another 80 hp to a Corvette Z-type engine. BRE does such a good job to their cast iron heads that they said the aluminum heads would only add about 40 hp more. My engine is estimated at 470 hp and 500 ft-lbs of torque.
