Being Cool

The cooling system has a custom radiator that I designed to exactly fit the confines of the engine compartment. The core is 26 inches by 14 inches and consists of 4 rows of tubes separated by 3/8 inches. The water pump has been changed to the street version of the Moroso electric water pump. The trick in this conversion is to make the water circulate slower than normal to ensure a better heat exchange in the radiator. To help in cooling the engine, an oil cooler was added just below the radiator where the front air scoop will blow through it before going through the radiator. This cooling system configuration has been quite successful from 35 to 110 degrees (we have a great climate in California).
