The body is about the only item that is original. Exterior modifications include the louvers in the bonnet and the cutout in the center to allow the air cleaner to extend through. When the all induction modifications are completed, a low metal bubble will be custom fabricated and welded to the bonnet to provide a complete cover.
Spitfire body parts are becoming very hard to find and transplants are required. In order to eliminate rattles and keep the doors shut, door latches from a 1985 Oldsmobile were transplanted and reconnected to the original door opening mechanisms.
